I use the EBird app to determine which county I’m in. Go to the Explore option
(bottom middle of 5
Choices on my iPhone). I hit “edit” in the upper right of that “explore
screen,” and click on the green arrow in the upper right. It resets the map and
in the upper left, shows the county I’m in. I used this method to put a flag on
Oak Island to mark county lines. It’s a bit tedious walking back and forth to
mark an exact location, but worked.
I’ve also had cases where I’m in one county and find out later I saw a bird in
another county. You can also put in coordinates on the EBird app
for that bird’s location using the EBird map to create a new checklist.

The map that Paul provided has the portion of the Columbia/Multnomah county
line that bisects Sturgeon Lake. It's dotted near J2 and J5 and labeled but
not included in the legend.

Bob mentioned is loaded with info about the places to bird in each county but
I could not find county boundaries at a detailed level - helpful for county
listers. Perhaps they exist in a layer I couldn't find. A Google search of a
county will provide a red lined overlay of the boundary but it disappears when
zooming in for precise location details. Also, it sometimes does odd things
around water (see Sturgeon Lake county boundary on MultCo.

Does anyone have a resource that is accurate and accessible for county map
