We spent the morning on the beach at New River and Floras Lake and had
nice numbers of migrant shorebirds moving north. The flow was fairly
steady but not huge and most flocks were not really big, however the
pace was very good. Later in the evening Kathy visited Bandon Marsh
and had 6500 shorebirds. Nothing unusual.
Western Sandpiper - 5700
Least Sandpiper - 100
Dunlin - 775
Semipalmated Plover - 370
Long-billed Dowitcher - 4
Black-bellied Plover - 3
Whimbrel - 23
20 Bonaparte's Gulls dropped in while there.....
Cheers
