I just returned from my pigeon coop where I released an adult female
Coops----she had just killed six pigeons, one adult and five youngsters.
She had a pretty good crop on her, so she should be good for a few days.
Also, many eggs were broken.....but there were 4 very young pigeons that
were unharmed. At this juncture the flying adults won't return to the coop,
so some eggs might end up being addled. Some on this list might think I'd
be upset by these losses; but those of you that know me realize the
opposite is the case. This was a truly beautiful hawk, and I hope to see
her again, but hopefully not inside with the pigeons. Best regards, Dick
