A LOGGERHEAD SHRIKE was working the shrubbery behind the old barn
that's midway down Jackson Rd in Brownsmead.

Appearing this week were WOOD DUCKS at several locations, OSPREY
at Warrenton and Brownsmead and AMERICAN WHITE PELICAN at Brownsmead.
A single CLIFF SWALLOW was at Svensen Island on the 24th.
There were also notable spikes in movements of RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRDS,
RING-BILLED GULLS, TURKEY VULTURES, SAVANNAH SPARROWS and YELLOW-RUMPED
WARBLERS. There are also now crowds of TREES and VIOLET-GREEN SWALLOWS.
BELTED KINGFISHERS are burrowing. BREWER'S BLACKBIRDS are gather
nesting material.
A CALIFORNIA TORTOISESHELL was nectaring on the Andromeda in my front
yard earlier this week and the first MARGINED WHITES of the season
were at Shively Park.
