Columbia Estuary Report - 11/24/2015

There was snow on Saddle Mt this morning...

The COMMON GROUND DOVE was feeding around the parked semi-trailers by
Cook Slough this afternoon around 15:00hr. The CLAY-COLORED SPARROW was
seen again at the south end of the cyclone fence near the feeders. Both
TROPICAL KINGBIRDS were seen yesterday.

Three TURKEY VULTURES were flying low over the duck field across from
the Astoria Airport this afternoon. I saw one near Astoria Golf Club on
Saturday. Getting a bit late for these.

A NORTHERN SHRIKE was also along Airport Rd today.

A NORTHERN MOCKINGBIRD was photographed near the trailer park at the
entrance to Hammond Boat Basin on Monday. It was not relocated today.

Five TRUMPETER SWANS were reported over Wireless Rd Sunday. A single
TUNDRA SWAN was at Svensen Island yesterday. There were two
ROUGH-LEGGED HAWKS at Brownsmead.

Huge flocks of RED CROSSBILLS working the shorpine at South Jetty today.
