Just wanted to let people know about a good place to observe snipe in
coastal Douglas County that is just 1 minute off Hwy 101, in Winchester
Bay. There is a sandy/grassy area just north of the Winchester Bay RV Park
that often has Wilson's Snipe this time of year, Savannah Sparrows,
sometimes meadowlarks, still hoping for longspurs. Located at these
