Happy Thanksgiving, Obol!
Here's a Turkey story for you. Back in early September my husband alerted
me that one of the Turkeys was limping. Looking out the window, I saw a big
tom struggling to walk with a badly injured leg. Perhaps he had gotten hit
by a car?
After living here for a couple years, I learned not to feed Turkeys. We
have too many Turkeys in this neighborhood and I don't want to encourage
them to come to our yard. But watching that injured Turkey, my heart melted
and I broke my own rule. I thought that if I fed him it might help him stay
strong enough to heal. So I started feeding him BOSS (black oil sunflower
seed) and in-shell peanuts. After watching him limp along for awhile I
dubbed him Chester, from the old television show "Gunsmoke".
You can read the story of Chester in the descriptions below the

I wish all of you a happy and peaceful Thanksgiving.
