I mistakenly texted the wrong info to Mike Patterson from the South Jetty
of the Columbia River earlier today - Evan and I were glassing the
BUFF-BREASTED SANDPIPER at the South Jetty Salicornia flats, and then
jumped a LAPLAND LONGSPUR from the grassy area south of the gravel road
that takes walkers to the River Beach. Thought it was a Laplander at the
time - sorry folks - never meant to say the other ID!
But later did find a probable SOLITARY SANDPIPER with a BLACK-BELLIED
PLOVER at Trestle Bay (Area D at Ft Stevens), on the opposite flats to the
SW of the blind. It was quite far away, and went into roost posture soon
after finding it, so could not eliminate Lesser Yellowlegs.
