Also, later in the day when the weather improved a bit, I saw the most
stunning light-morph juvenile Red-tailed Hawk, and caught a female Kestrel
on a fence.
Golf Course Road was paved with sparrows. WC, Vesper, and Savannah were
all I could pick out. Horned Larks, two great horned owl nests, FOY
killdeer's broken-wing facade, and a Wilson's Snipe on a fence post, were
other Highlights. Snipe could be seen or heard anywhere there was
sufficient water, and for the first time this year I could hear a couple of
birds flight winnowing.
