Here's a bit of interesting trivia.
The bird was originally ID'd as a Blue-footed Booby and was scheduled to
be transported up here to the rehab clinic in Astoria. For reasons
still unclear to those of us up here, the folks at Oregon Coast Aquarium
changed their minds. Once it was determined that it was a Masked/Nazca
Booby there was no way it was going anywhere, but back to California.
Anyway, had karma had swung in a different direction, all this comedy
might have been performed by Oregon list enthusiasts banging around the
Lower Columbia...
