Best bird at the sw corner this morning. Probably a minute after Doug drove
away. There were probably a hundred seed eating birds w/in a 50 yd radius of
the seed patch, and another half hundred Savannah Sparrows scattered north
along the west slope of the dike. The giant shrub grove just west of the sw
corner is a great place to see passerines as they like to sun themselves there
regardless of food. That where the B-t Gray was. Basically at eye level to the
driver of a car, which is many meters above the natural landscape. Lars
