Hi All, I was needing a Barrows Goldeneye for Marion County, so headed up to
Big Cliff Reservoir with Roy Gerig this morning. Near the east end of the lake
was one Barrows, 4 common goldeneyes, maybe ten common mergansers and one
dipper. Detroit Lake seems still quite low with all the rain of late but we
did see a few cormorants, mergansers and one horned grebe. During our ride
back I mentioned the 45 greater yellowlegs I saw yesterday, which he had
recently topped by seeing 65 at ANWR. As he does not have email of late, he
has not been posting his birding outings.
