if Central Oregon culture is actually more xenoanserphilic than we westsiders,

Hi -I have now seen Aaron's follow-up set of photos, and frankly the bill
characters, particularly the gape, look pretty go for Taiga, although not as
long as I would expect for middendorffi. if the bird is still around it would
be great to get photos of it worth its neck stretched, either on the ground or
flying.And one last comment - I expect it is a wild bird, but someone should
have a conversation with the owner of the Smew in the same neighborhood.Wayne
