Call from local farmer alerted us late this afternoon to a group of over 50
BLACK- BELLIED PLOVERS feeding in a field north of Butte Creek in Clackamas
County. Plovers were on Drake Road just off Hwy 213 by Marquam, Oregon past
the first zigzag in road on south side. Looked like they were eating
earthworms. Sure pretty in breeding plumage!
