The 4th North Grants Pass Raptor survey was accomplished today (03-16-16)
Distance traveled: 38.0 miles; Survey time: 2.75 hours
Weather: mostly cloudy to partly cloudy
Results:
Red-tailed Hawk - 6
American Kestrel - 3
Red-shouldered Hawk - 5
White-tailed Kite - 1
Turkey Vulture - 7
Kite was a treat to find, they have been pretty rare this winter here. Was
perched at the top of a conifer and stood out like a beacon. No other 1st
spring arrivals discovered.
