That amount of travel is far from impossible, but the liklihood of 2 birds is
worth exploring.
Black-and-white Wrblers in winter are highly variable in plumage, and I suspect
if 2 are present, both may have been photographed well enough to be
distinguished. In particular, they vary in the intensity of the black
markings, and in the extent of black markings on the face. Some birds
(immature females?) have relatively fine black markings, narrower crown
stripes, and relatively faces marked only by a an eye-stripe behind the eye,
and pretty much unmarked underparts. Adult males generally have a black cheek
patch, and sometimes have remnants of their black chin patch and streaked
breast. On them the black stripes are wider and more intensely black. So if
someone wanted to go through all the ebird checklists with photos, he/she might
find good evidence of 2 birds - or not.

morning. A meeting with HHerlyn et al revealed that Isaac Denzer had seen a
BWWA 0.25 mile from Tim at 15 min time difference. Is this species likely to
travel 4 1/2 football fields in that time frame? In any time frame inside a
regular winter home range?
