Hello fellow OBE'ers
Gary Gylytiuk here, Bolt Security- now Prices Alarms.
I was a little surprised when a fellow member thought I was no longer part
of the group as i have not attended for a long time and with the mergers of
Prices, - ( Prices was not supporting the group , or paying the membership)
Therefore, I feel compelled to fix all these ill begotten, mostly untruths.
1) I am on an approved ( although I sent an email, I never got a response)
for Medical leave from the group, until I am allowed to return to work.
In Oct 26, 2016 I was in surgery for removal of a disk in my spine and then
a titanium plate with 4 ( rather long ) screws to fuse the C4 and C5
vertebrae. ( Sorry Dave Mann for the non-medical terms)
Surgery successful, feeling great, but a bit longer recovery then I hoped.
But I am now cleared to exercise and it is much needed as the neck is very
weak. I am scheduled to return to work the last week of January or so. I
believe I am on track for this
2) I do hope to return in full force to the group and in face, at the last
meeting I was able to attend, did pay for the 2017 membership - out of my
own pocket.
So - to end it all, I hope I can return and look forward to continuing as an
active member

3. Paul says he was totally surprised for his party. Morris was wondering
how that is possible as it was posted in two papers and Bo wonders how
someone that has a birthday each year can still be surprised when it
happens!! Dave was wondering who would have a birthday party when there was
a gold medal game going on!!
4. Give blood if you can. It may save someone you know.
5. 19 referrals this morning. 18 1st Party and 1 3rd Party. We need more
third party referrals.
6. Thanks to Gord for presenting a plaque to Two Eagles on behalf of the
OBE.
7. Jerry is sunning himself in Mexico and Mary is _______ up on the ski
hill!
8. January Social will be at Rollingdale Winery January 27 from 6 - 8 pm
9. Congratulations to Bo for giving back to the community. Spare pocket
change each day gave the Be an Angel campaign $500.00 and 21.00 from each
house deal gave Easter Seals $2984.00. Well done.
10. Try and support the OBE at this very slow time of the year. While you
are on the way to get your new glasses from Lana stop and get a coffee from
Blenz. When you can see well enough when you get back home, call Frank for
those much needed renovations that you can now see you need.
11. Ron Smith is off for the next 5 weeks and Denise only wishes she could
get away for that long.

13. Debra Lott says it came very close to claiming her insurance policy on
her hubby when it crossed her mind she could smother him with his pillow
for being snippy when he woke up!
14. Raymond says today is just a typical balmy day in Saskatchewan. Having
lived there for 5 years I know what he is talking about.
15. Habitat can always use help if you would like to donate your time
instead of money.
16. We had enough time to do both halves today.
