I use the unspoken addon, it works very well. I did try the obj addon years ago and had some sort of strange problem with thunderbird, I can't remember what it was now but I got rid and have used the unspoken addon for at least a year or more.

Hi, I tested two version of objSounds and audioTemes, years ago. Based
just on these test, my general impression is that I would choose
objSounds, the version of Evans or something like that, if we should to
choose just one.
Though I think that add-ons can be merged.
The audiotemes that I tested had a non standard way to manage temes, or
this is the impresion saved on my memory, years ago.
But this must be investigated, of course.
Thanks.

Dear NVDA add-ons community,

After talking to authors of various audio theming add-ons on twitter and
IRC, I think it could be a good idea to come up with some kind of a
compromise and choosing the add-on that users, developers and others
inside and outside this community believe to be a compromise solution.
So far, we have:

·         Unspoken: Austin Hicks.

·         ObjSounds (from someone)

·         An add-on from Bryan Smart.

·         Audio Themes 3D by Musharraf Omer.

Does anyone have comments on what the community should do?

To Musharraf: Please feel free to continue developing the add-on.

Thanks.

Cheers,

Joseph
