I do not have that problem here, everything works fine with the version 2.1.1
of the add-on, in Windows XP, 7, 8.1 and 10, and the latest version of NVDA.
But I will anyway look where all this could come.

Results: When opening a file for playback and selecting a region of audio with
B and N, pressing the CTRL+Shift+B and CTRL+Shift+N yield "selection not
found". At least though, there is no longer an error.

I get the same error using the latest release as well, however, it does not
make the error noise for obvious reasons.

Firstly, thank you for reporting this bug.
Regarding vertical arrows, they don't announce anything during recording.
Also make sure that the 'Other' check box is not unchecked in the add-on's
configuration dialog.
Regarding the error message? For the Ctrl Shift B, I think I understand
where it comes from.
I'll fix that in the next commit, but I find it odd that this bug only
appears in the latest version of the nvda master and not in other versions.

using the up/down arrow keys yield no verbal result, and pressing CTRL+Shift+B
