degree within the preceding two years.

JOB SUMMARY:
At full performance level this position will provide electronics design and 
development support for aerospace projects to produce new avionics and 
instrumentation systems or equipment. Projects may include lab demonstrations, 
aero-based instruments, field campaigns, and space flight instruments. Such 
projects may require analog, power systems, digital, computer, control, and 
instrumentation designs that are characterized by low noise requirements, high 
speed processing, and complex interfaces under stringent aero and space 
environmental conditions.
Appropriate academic fields of study:
Aeronautical Engineering, Aeronautics, Aerospace Engineering, Astronautical 
Engineering, Astronautics, Chemical Engineering, Applied Mechanics, Engineering 
Mechanics, Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Nuclear Engineering 
Physics, Optical Engineering, Physics, Applied Physics and Engineering Physics.

The following majors are qualifying if they include or are supplemented by two 
courses in solid state physics, materials, optics, statics and dynamics, 
electricity and electronics, electron optics, kinetic theory of gases, 
electromagnetic propagation or radiation, semiconductors, vibration, 
information theory, or heat transfer. These majors are: Astronomy, Chemistry, 
Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mathematics 
both pure and applied, and Oceanography.

A major in electrical engineering is qualifying, unless it is in production, 
transmission, and use of large-scale industrial electrical power.
