JOB SUMMARY: At full performance level this position will provide electronics design and development support for aerospace projects to produce new avionics and instrumentation systems or equipment. Such projects may require analog, power systems, digital, computer, control, and instrumentation designs that are characterized by low noise requirements, high speed processing, and complex interfaces under stringent aero and space environmental conditions. Appropriate academic fields of study: Aeronautical Engineering, Aeronautics, Aerospace Engineering, Astronautical Engineering, Astronautics, Chemical Engineering, Applied Mechanics, Engineering Mechanics, Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Nuclear Engineering Physics, Optical Engineering, Physics, Applied Physics and Engineering Physics. The following majors are qualifying if they include or are supplemented by two courses in solid state physics, materials, optics, statics and dynamics, electricity and electronics, electron optics, kinetic theory of gases, electromagnetic propagation or radiation, semiconductors, vibration, information theory, or heat transfer.
