Greetings,
This is Shelton Liddell, chair of the National Society of Black Engineers DC
Alumni (NSBE-AEDC) Chapter's College Initiative committee. We have been
finishing plans for the Rising Professionals Tour @ Booz Allen Hamilton in
McLean, VA, scheduled for Friday, February 12, 2010 from 9:30am to 2:45pm.
Those have now been finalized and the attached itinerary will give you all
details for the event. Just a reminder that the last day to register for the
Booz Allen Tour is Feb 9, 2010. If you're interested, please register ASAP.
Please be mindful of the following guidelines:
* Be advised, this event is not meant to be a career fair; major
objectives of the tour are to reinforce the students' professional development
and build on their networking skills.
o Recruiters and HR representatives can answer questions you may have about
positions in the company
o However, no interviews will be given and resumes do not need to be brought
to the event
* Students will participate in a "Technology Petting Zoo" tour of the
firm's technological capabilities through the Systems Resource Center.
* At the close of the tour, lunch will be served while the students
network with their peers and SHPE/NSBE alumni.
o "A Day in the Life" panel discussion will also be conducted, consisting of
alumni from the partnering organizations who are now consultants with the firm.
NSBE-AEDC is inviting all College Students (Seniors, Juniors, Sophomores, and
Freshman) from across the DC Metropolitan area to participate. They will be
asked to do the following prior to this event:
* Send a completed version of the attached application to
CollegeInitiative@xxxxxxxxxxxxx<mailto:CollegeInitiative@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> and
RSVP for this event no later than Tuesday, February 9, 2010 by 4pm.
* Provide their own transportation to and from the facility
o Public transit is available by taking the Metrorail Orange Line to the West
Falls Church Station and then Fairfax County Connector #427 to Booz Allen at
8283 Greensboro Drive McLean, VA.

* Provide photo ID (YOU MUST notify me in your email for registration
if you are not or are not a US Citizen)
Please distribute this information to students at your university and let them
know that this event has a limited amount of spots available so students need
