The Associate Provost will assist the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs with the administration of the University's academic programs and management of the Division of Academic Affairs, which includes functional relationships with various assistant vice presidents, deans, as well as several directors, chairpersons, and staff. Will provide leadership for developing and implementing academic programs and support services and supporting faculty and staff in the delivery of an excellent education to students. Qualifications: An earned doctorate in an academic discipline; evidence of scholarly activities and a combination of a minimum of 10 years of senior-level higher education administrative and teaching experience; demonstrated leadership and creative accomplishments in academic program development and student support service programs; knowledge of technological systems as they apply to instructional, administrative, and institutional needs; knowledge of shared governance processes and the ability to work within such an environment; superior interpersonal and communication skills; experience with faculty development and performance management; skill in examining and re-engineering operations and formulating academic policy; ability to develop and interpret financial data/plans and manage resources; ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment.
