Quick question - my 4 year daughter and i are lucky to be part of a
wonderful day camp. The headmasters lovely and brilliant daughter, Bayat,
just graduated from high school and will be on her way to Boston university
in the fall. She provides assistance during camp as well as after care.
Several times a week I pick my daughter up from after care with beautifully
painted (free hand) murals on my daughter’s forehead and amazing, intricate
henna tattoos on her hands, etc. I was thinking maybe, if okay with the
organizers of the yard sale, she could come over to the park for a bit and
do a bit of smaller scale face paintings, henna, that kind of thing for
kids (and adults if desired) for a fee as she is doing everything she can
to save money for college expenses. I also thought it would be a pretty
cool addition to the yard sale and may get us a few more visitors. Please
let me know if you have any thoughts or feedback so I can let her know. She
has a graduation party in the afternoon but definitely can be there in the
morning for a few hours. No worries if you don’t think it would be a good
idea but I wanted to toss it out there as if could benefit a very bright
young woman with an amazing future ahead of her as well as an added benefit
for the yard sale. I look forward to your feedback.

I bought some small Yard Sale signs at Home Depot that I hope to put up
tomorrow, announcing the sale on Saturday. I got 8. I may have some old
homemade ones that hopefully don't look too awful to post. I was going to
put signs on PB at PHila and Eastern; Phila at Baltimore, Takoma and
Fenton, Eastern at Baltimore and Takoma at Fenton.
If anyone is a member of other neighborhood e-mail lists, I would
appreciate it if you could post an announcement.
I am going to start to set up early on Saturday, but we have a huge
amount of stuff, mostly clothes. Again, hours are 9 - 3, but hopefully
people will be set up by around 8 or so as I know there are those who like
to arrive early.
Probably stating the obvious, but it's good to have plenty of bills and
change available.
If others want to post announcements on other public bulletin boards,
physical or electronic, that would be great. It's probably a little late
to do that, but every little bit helps.
