Neighbors,
We have had some attrition from those who are participating but we have
added at least one more. Hopefully we will have about a dozen
participants. I have posted notices on Facebook and Craigslist. I have
had some responses from people looking for specific items like Pokemon
cards and video games. No one has responded, but at least people are
looking. I hope to post some photos of items that will be in the yard sale
tomorrow. If anyone has a photo of something they are going to have,
please send it to me and we can spruce up our ads with some enticing pics!
I bought some small Yard Sale signs at Home Depot that I hope to put up
tomorrow, announcing the sale on Saturday. I got 8. I may have some old
homemade ones that hopefully don't look too awful to post. I was going to
put signs on PB at PHila and Eastern; Phila at Baltimore, Takoma and
Fenton, Eastern at Baltimore and Takoma at Fenton.
If anyone is a member of other neighborhood e-mail lists, I would
appreciate it if you could post an announcement.
I am going to start to set up early on Saturday, but we have a huge amount
of stuff, mostly clothes. Again, hours are 9 - 3, but hopefully people
will be set up by around 8 or so as I know there are those who like to
arrive early.
Probably stating the obvious, but it's good to have plenty of bills and
change available.
If others want to post announcements on other public bulletin boards,
physical or electronic, that would be great. It's probably a little late
to do that, but every little bit helps.
