I was walking in downtown Silver Spring earlier today and noticed a large,
portable Police street floodlight tower and multiple cameras being installed by
the Library. In talking to the policemen nearby, they mentioned it is part of a
concerted effort to show a more consistent Police presence, in response to
recent " not good" activity.
