I agree that Climate Change is a profound and imminent concern.
However… I can’t imagine that climate change is going to affect flooding in
North Takoma more than WSSC and Pepco already have.

of rain per day during storms that exceed the capacity of Takoma Park’s storm
drains. Such a storm has a 10% chance of occurring in Takoma Park in any

industry’s assessment of our City’s vulnerability to water damage; City
strategies and challenges; and recommendations to help us prepare for future
storm events in Takoma Park. We will also be joined by Mayor Kate Stewart who
will respond to questions about the City Stormwater Board (which is the full
City Council), emergency response preparations, and more.
