| Dear Takoma Park Friends and Neighbors,
We are delighted to share that after a 2-year hiatus Takoma Park's 4th of July
celebration is returning this year! Please mark your calendars (parade July 4th
at 10am, evening street party time TBD) and spread the word.
We are seeking volunteers to fill several key roles critical to the success of
this year's Celebration. If you or someone you know might be willing & able to
help out, please email Tara at tara.marie.egan@xxxxxxxxx.
If you aren't available but know others who might be, please share this message
with your networks!
Volunteer Needs:
Vendor Manager
The Vendor Manager will contact past and prospective food & beverage vendors
for the 4th of July about joining this year. They'll make sure vendors have
submitted their paperwork, answer their questions, and make sure vendors show
up in the right place on the 4th.
Time needed: an estimated 20 hours between now and July. Also needed on July 4
from 8:30am to 9:30am and from 4:30 to 6:30pm. (If you can do some but not all
of this time, please let us know and we can definitely work around your
availability.)
Web Manager
The Web Manager will maintain our website, including updating content on the
latest celebration info, sponsors and donors, and other details. Our website is
built in Wix and is pretty simple and user-friendly.
Time needed: an estimated 5 hours per month from April to July
If the above roles don't make sense for you but you're interested in getting
more involved, please let us know! Or we'd love for you to join our meetings on
the 4th Tuesday of each month.
Whether as a parade participant, volunteer, celebration attendee or in another
role, we hope you can join us in making Takoma Park's 2022 4th of July
Celebration our most memorable yet!
