Hi Everybody -
As a group of people who are concerned about the environment, and especially
birds, please read this. This is an opportunity to make your voices heard for
the good of our avian friends.

We need to pressure the state government to do the right thing. As I surmised
when this current federal administration took over, the states are going to
have to do the hard work of environmental preservation. Virginia has a chance,
right now, to get it right.

I'm going to leave it to you to read the articles. Please write some letters,
send some emails. The people we need to contact are listed in the word document
above.

Let's advocate for the birds while we still have them.

An eminent threat to large, well-established colonies of terns and gulls who
have been nesting on a spoil island near the Hampton-Roads Bridge Tunnel is
taking place now. Due to a tunnel expansion project the island has been
demolished and your help is urgently needed to communicate with Virginia
leaders the need to construct a new island. Please read the VSO’s article:

news outlets. Public pressure can make a difference, so please consider
