KCGC is the King Carter Golf Course, located south of Kilmarnock just off
Irvington Road. HQ is Hills Quarter, the community associated with the
golf course. NNAS is the Northern Neck Audubon Society.

Today, the 8th, is the first monitoring of the KCGC Bluebird trail. There
has been a lot of activity, but except in one instance, everything is off
to a slow start. That is because our "Spring" has been colder than normal.
The bluebirds want to be sure it is warm enough for lots of lawn bugs
before they produce a brood.

Here are the first counts of the 2013 season [this is for 36 nesting boxes]:
Partial nests; 8
Complete nests; 12
Eggs; 5 in one nest
1 Tree Swallow egg in the martin gourds.
