In 10 to 14 days will have a Monarch Butterfly.
My grandson Leo placed a Monarch Caterpillar in a large jar with some milkweed
cuttings. He sprayed with a fine mist of water every couple of days to maintain
the humidity . Holes were punched in the jar lid to provide oxygen.
After a week the caterpillar shed his exoskeleton and evolved to the chrysalis
stage.
In 10 to 14 days the chrysalis with become a butterfly.
