Dear Friends,


First, I want to pass my condolences to Sherritta on the loss of your loved 
one.  My thoughts are with you.

Second, I'm happy that we will be seeing Zavel again soon!  I have also heard 
from three interested people who saw the NJCA e-blast and expressed interest in 
our trainings.


Third, let me thank Inspira and Maricarmen for your sweet and touching emails 
about my service to NJAMC.  I was very moved and appreciative.  And yes, 
Inspira, I would be deeply honored to be considered as a future president-elect 
of this division.  I would theoretically love to serve in this capacity - but 
again, it's an issue of how to be available for all the required meetings due 
to my work schedule.  In the meantime, I will stay as involved as I can with 
NJAMC and am looking into possibly running for a member at large position with 
NJCA.


I hope someone is interested in running for secretary.  You don't have to do 
anything the same way I did it.  You can make it your own.

Hi Inspira,

It's pretty late, but I'm just getting to North Carolina, which means I wont B 
present at the meeting tomorrow. This was a Very long drive, especially when 
done alone. It was an an unexpected trip due to another close relative's death. 
The home going is in the morning.

My first response was “0h no! How can we function without all you do?” Then I 
felt how fortunate we have been for all you do. Thank you so much. You have 
been a secretary (the best) and at times the president. And you have every 
right to say that you are going to pass the pen in June. I hope that the next 
secretary will not be intimidated by how high you set the bar. And please 
remain involved. Perhaps you will be the next president elect.

After three years of service as secretary, I have decided to step down when 
elections run again this summer for NJCA division leadership roles.  It has 
been an honor to hold this position and to advance our division!


Even though I love you all, I have had a growing sense for months that I have 
given all the gifts and talents I have to offer in this role.  I want to honor 
my intuition's sense of completion about my contributions.


Additionally, I am increasingly having to work on Saturdays and missing our 
meetings, which I don't think is right for a person holding a leadership role 
in our division.  I am ready to hand the role off to give someone else a chance 
to serve who can offer fresh insights and energy, and who has more Saturday 
availability.


I am making the announcement early in order to give other folks a chance for 
the next few months to consider if they might like to step into this role.  If 
you are thinking about it and have questions about what might be involved, 
please feel free to reach out to me.  I am leaving shortly for a conference but 
I will check messages when I return.


A big thank you to Joanna for taking attendance and minutes at this Saturday's 
meeting! I will be working.
