Hey all,
Based on the agenda for the officers meeting, what I recall from our
conversations, and things I suspect need to be done regardless... here
is the agenda and time estimates for the February general meeting:
1. Call to Order
2. Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag [5 minutes]
3. Question and Answer/General Discussion session [15 minutes]
4. Introduction by the President [5 minutes]
5. Committee reports and club business [40 minutes]
1. Secretary - approve minutes of last meeting [5 minutes]
2. Treasurer - update on bank account and explanation of dues
[10 minutes]
3. Parliamentarian - reading and approving the Bylaws [15 minutes]
4. Officers - dealing with any additional minutia necessary to
finalize the club's membership application [10 minutes]
6. Legislative and Issues report by Terri [15 minutes]
1. Note: Replaced this meeting by Amy's presentation on
Precinct Captains
7. Speaker Presentation [30 minutes]
1. Note: I recommend using this time to formally discuss/decide
priorities (and non-priorities) of the club, since we don't have a
speaker in February.
8. This meeting only, correct and approve the meeting minutes on-site
so we can include them with the membership application [10 minutes]
9. Meeting adjournment
Total meeting time should be right under two hours, if all goes
according to the above.
Is there anything missing from the above list that needs to be included
in the meeting agenda? If so, please send it to me immediately so I can
include it. If you are comfortable with the above as presented, please
respond indicating as such. *To clarify, please respond either way, as
soon as you reasonably can. :)*
Once we're pretty comfortable with it, I'll post it on our website and
Facebook, and include it with the e-mail announcement reminding people
about the club meeting.
