WEI project areas are in Sumatra, Kalimantan,and Sulawesi, with the head office
located in Jakarta. We are currently lookingto fill the following position:
Outreach & Communication Officer – basedin Jakarta
Duties and Responsibilities
The Outreach & Communication Officeris based in Jakarta with possibility to
visit the project around Indonesia. Reportsdirectly to the Operations Manager,
s/he works closely with all WEI field staffto draft communication materials and
effectively communicate WEI approaches,activities, outputs, and impacts with
certain stakeholders and the public.
Specific responsibilities of theOutreach & Communication Officer include but
are not limited to:
- Coordinatewith staff at field offices to ensure articles, field reports,
and otherknowledge or publications are distributed. Writing and editing
articles andother publications as needed
- Responsibleto maintain WEI communication tools, such as website and social
media accountsand ensure the contents are regularly updated.
- Facilitatepartnerships, develop proposals, and coordinate with clients and
donors.
- SupportOperations Manager to implement communication and outreach plan and
revisedocument as needed based on the progress of project implementation.
- SupportOperations Manager to plan and implement online campaign to raise
awareness forcertain program.
- SupportOperations Manager and Program Manager to communicate and maintain
relationwith clients, donors, and other institution related to programs
andstakeholders.
Requirements
- Min.Bachelor degree in communication, public relation, marketing,
agriculture, orrelated discipline.
- Atleast 2 years of related experience and demonstrated ability to
implementcommunication & outreach strategies, and develop proposal for grant.
Fresh graduatesare welcome to apply.
- Excellentwritten and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa
Indonesia,including report & proposal writing and copywriting.
- Demonstratedexperience in managing media relations, demonstrated capacity
to communicateeffectively with a range of internal and external audiences
through traditionaland new media channels.
