We currently have an opening for:
COASTAL RESILIENCE SENIOR MANAGER
Relationship Building & Partnership
* Establish a good relationship with stakeholders (donors, government,
private sectors, NGOs, academics, and communities) to implement the program.
* Lead the preparation of reports, background materials, and other
information for the government, donors, and other program partners.
Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation
* Lead the design and implementation of programs to restore and protect
mangroves and other coastal wetlands.
* Lead the development of aquaculture improvement programs to reduce GHG
emissions and improve aquaculture productivity.
* Lead the preparation for a blue carbon project and aquaculture
eco-certification.
Ecosystem-based Disaster Risk Reduction
* Conduct coastal vulnerability assessment and develop local and national
regulations or policies for ecosystem-based disaster risk reduction.
* Develop a financing mechanism program for rapid post-disaster ecosystem
restoration.
Supervising
* Develops TORs, drafts contracts for various consultant.
* Oversee consultant's activities and performances.
The Coastal Resilience Senior Manager (CRSM) reports to the Director of the
Indonesia Oceans Program and is based in Jakarta.
Qualifications:
* BA/BS degree and 10 years' experience in conservation practice or
equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Fundraising experience, including identifying donor prospects and donor
cultivation.
* Experience directing a major program or project of strategic importance,
including management/supervision of multi-disciplinary teams and meeting
deadlines.
* Experience working with current trends and practices in relevant
discipline(s) and geographic regions.
* Supervisory experience, including motivating, leading, setting objectives
and managing performance.
* Experience in partnership development with non-profit partners, community
groups and/or government agencies.
* Experience negotiating
* Experience influencing, developing, and implementing conservation policy
and plans at the state or country level.
* Experience with financial management of a large program.
