PURPOSE:
The main purposeof the Nutritionist (Consultant) role is to support the project
implementationaddressing malnutrition issues through food and nutrition service
in theproject area.
SPECIFICEXPECTATIONS:
· Provide technical advice onnutrition specific and nutrition sensitive
programme including assessment andanalysis in line with Islamic Relief
standards and processes.
· Conduct rapid rural appraisal(RRA) to map the targeted village, analyse
problem, identify potentials, andother relevant issues to the projects.
· Assist the coordinator inbeneficiary identification and selection
· Conduct assessment in the fieldto identify beneficiary need guided by
assessment lead
· Build rapport with thecommunity leader, elderly, village office, and
other stakeholders
· Engage with the targetedcommunities through regular visits, informal
dialogues, and other form ofcommunications
· Organize community meetingsrelated to project activities
· Organize awareness raisingactivities for communities relevant to
project aim
· Facilitate community meetingsor workshop to establish community
organizations including cooperatives,self-help groups, etc. with organization
office bearers and statute;
· Prepare the communities andother relevant stakeholders to implement
activities set up by each project
· Produce activity report everytime the activity is completed
· Collaborate with public andprivate sector to design and implement
nutrition interventions within acoherent project strategy based upon national
policy and priorities linked tofood security and nutrition. Prepare the
communities, venues, and communitycommittee for distribution activities
· Lead the volunteer in the postdistribution monitoring activities in
coordination with MEAL staff
· Building partnerships andnetworking with stakeholders in the community
· Prepare the communities for theorientation of complaint and feedback
response mechanism (CFRM), safeguarding,PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Abuse and
Exploitation), antibribery and corruptionand fraud facilitated by MEAL staff
REQUIREDEXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
- University graduate in relevant studies
- Minimum 1-2 years in relevant experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, working as a team member.
- Strong initiative and self-motivated, with a strong commitment to teamwork
and humanitarian principle.
- Ability to multitask with competing demands under tight deadlines and work
under pressure.
- Fully computer literate (Microsoft Office)
- Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
