Harry,
I am also very glad that I joined the group; I enjoy reading what everyone is
seeing and looking at the various photos of moths. Thank you very much for your
comment about my presentation. I am glad that you enjoyed it. In fact, I am
actually doing another presentation for Wake Audubon next month, on September
14, at the museum. This time I will be speaking about my travels in tropical
America (Panama, Ecuador, Galapagos, and Belize). If you are available, maybe
you can come to my presentation. I have pasted the link to the Wake Audubon
calendar for you: http://www.wakeaudubon.org/calendar.htm. I have also pasted
my
flickr page, in case you wanted to see some of the other photos I am taking:
www.flickr.com/photos/hawk-eagle/.

Enjoy,

Kyle

Thank you, Ed and Kyle. I agree with you, having compared the MPG photos.
Wouldn't it be nice if moths always posed according to the Internet photos?

Kyle, I am glad that you have joined this group. I was present some time back
when you made your presentation to Wake Audubon and you did a fantastic job. In
fact, I got the urge to go back to Alaska for a more in-depth stay (I was there
for a week in 1996 for a conference). Next time, there will be some serious
time
spent enjoying Denali and other places.

Harry

I agree with Ed that your moth appears to be a Curve-lined Owlet. See this link
for verification:

Looks almost like a Curve-lined Owlet, but I'm sure someone else might have a
better opinion.

I took this shot on August 9, with the moth on Joe-Pye-Weed. I feel that I have
poured over all ID resources but have come up empty. Can anyone provide an ID?
