I had these 2 moths on 4/2 and I can't decide if they're Melanolophia canadaria or maybe something else. Both are smaller than any canadaria I've seen before and the wings are more pointed. The pattern is more extreme than what I'd expect but if the photos on MPG are correctly identified, I guess they could fit into the expected variation for the species. Maybe a male/female thing?
