  Harry,  I think you're right on the i.d.--that's a pretty distinctive tort.  
It does appear to fly mainly in July-Aug but there are outliers on either side 
so I wouldn't rule it out just on that basis.

flight period as July and August. There is a photo there that is very close to

winter and plants are blooming and leafing out several weeks ahead of schedule, 
maybe the moth arrived early as well. Or have I just failed to dig deeply 
enough into MPG and BG?
