The closest I've come up with for #1 is one of those pesky unidentified species.

Paul,  Your #1 is definitely not Dioryctria which have a distinct jagged white 
medial line across the forewing.  Could be Laetitia or one of the Sciotas or 
even possibly Acrobasis--don't have time to look up.  Your #2 looks like 4945 
Crocidophora tuberculalis.
