Here are your North Central District Updates for January 25th, 2021:
*Virtual Convention:*
On April 9-11th, District Convention will be held virtually based on the
anticipated and ongoing threat of COVID-19. Unlike last year, virtual
convention will mirror the schedule and programming of a traditional
convention as closely as possible. The schedule and registration will be
released in the coming weeks.
*Chapter Delegate Form and Committee Member & Chair Applications:*
Leading up to NCD Convention, ALL Chapters appoint a representative to
serve as its delegate at convention. This delegate will vote on behalf of
the chapter and will serve on a committee leading up to the convention. All
committee work will be completed BEFORE convention.
In addition to delegates, we are looking for other Brothers to serve on
district committees. ANY Brother can serve on or chair a committee. We
encourage all to apply. If you are your chapter's delegate, you will
automatically be placed on a committee and do not need to fill out a
Committee Member/Chair Application.
Please note on the Chapter Delegate Form there is a section about proxies.
While we expect ALL chapters to have a delegate, we understand
circumstances may arise where a chapter may not have a representative at
convention. In this scenario, A Brother from another chapter will vote as
your chapter's proxy. Chapters may choose to either have a specific chapter
vote on its behalf or have a chapter automatically selected to vote for
them through the set rotation.
While delegates will automatically be placed on a committee before
convention, proxies will not serve on a committee unless they separately
fill out a Committee Member/Chair application. *The role of proxy is only
during convention weekend. *

*Spring Ritual Dates:*
This semester, Ritual will be coordinated nationally by the Ritual
Performance and Education Committee. There is ONE sign-up for all dates and
all degrees beginning Thursday, January 28, 2021 through Sunday, May 9,
2021. Degrees will take place via zoom on Thursdays at 7:00 pm Central,
Fridays at 8:00 pm Central, and Sundays at 6:00 pm Central.
