Hello brothers!
Please share this message with any individuals from your chapter going to
the convention! I hope many of you are enjoying (or about to enjoy) this
spring break season. I am here today to congratulate Carter Adams of the
Alpha Zeta Chapter at Indiana University for having his composition
selected to be premiered at the Convention Ritual! The council and the
judges would like to congratulate all participants of the composition
competition for you have made strides in the programming of our fraternity.
Now for those individuals who haven't attended a block workshop, I am
looking to create a small band to premiere this piece to the brotherhood at
the convention ritual on Friday. This band has a wide range of instruments
and we want you to come play music with us! Because of how small the band
is and how vast the district is, the form to sign up for this band will be
released on the KKPsi Facebook Page <https://www.facebook.com/KKPsiNCD/> or
my Psi Twitter (@NCDVPMem) on Wednesday 3/21 exactly 1 pm EST. This link
will not be released via email. This is being posted on Wednesday in order
to give everyone a fair chance to sign up for the ritual band. All members
of the NCDIB are able to participate in the ritual band. The only
commitment is a 1-hour rehearsal before the ritual and a very quick
recording session on Saturday! Very quick, very simple. This piece has a
low difficulty level, similar to chorals.
We are looking for the following instruments:
Flute, Oboe, Bb Clarinet, Alto - Tenor - and Baritone Sax, Bassoon, French
Horn, Bb Trumpet, Trombone, Euphonium, Tuba, and Percussion (Snare,
Cymbals, Mallets, etc.)
