I don’t know if anyone saw this, but I am desperate to find penicillin, it
is horrible how California has taken out of their feed stores
If any one can please send me a bottle of peng I would be and so would the
bunnies be eternally grateful…..and I will pay you for your trouble. Can
anyone here help.

them off? I have dremeled many hares teeth with malocclusions and even
Spurs but roberts mouth is so tiny….I would never cut teeth with clippers
as I would also be afraid of cracks. I’ve never had a problem though with
using a portable dremel. I went and ordered a contraption to keep the mouth
open but not sure if I’ll even use it. I will have to give him a bit of
Valium to relax him, I have to do something now, and I have no where to
take him, I have had to brave a lot of things because rehabbing so many
hares and cottontails…I would try if you could tell me,I can feel the
points with my fingers in the back. I agree, they will only get worse since
I, force feeding, I have only seen Robert pick up a piece of dill and eat
it.
I have also thought of giving him penicillin injections but I can’t buy it
in California here. If anyone could send me some of course I would pay for
it and for the trouble. Can you send some? I only have one expired bottle
that has never been used in the refrigerator but the expiration is 2017.
Sadly, I purchased it in 2020 and I didn’t even realize it was expired til
I went to use it. The laws are ridiculous here…

Janet. Sounds like Moo's mouth as he is a small bun with a tinier mouth!
A friend of mine does (controversially) knock molar spurs off herself in
her buns. Not burring just knocking them off. She has done this for another
friend of mine years ago who had a bunny who'd regularly develop molar
spurs. It is problematic tho as it can cause a tooth to fracture which can
then cause much bigger problems like infection and tooth loss. I've not
gone to this point (yet!) but thought I'd mention it. She hadn't had issues
with this approach but others might. Or perhaps she wasn't aware of other
issues relating to this further down the line.
The thing with their toothy problems like this is on a soft food diet it's
only going to get worse. Does he try and chew on anything at all? The
reason I ask is that when Moo was suffering with a lot of jaw pain from a
hidden tooth infection he kept trying to eat things that were too tough for
his jaw. This was before I knew what the problem was. He'd chew on tiny
thin hazel twigs when he wouldn't eat anything else. This I think kept his
teeth trim. If there was any way Roo might chew on a twig he might knock a
molar spur off himself. So knocking the spurs off can be a natural part of
them eating.
That sounds like a super yummy mix of foods! He's so lucky to have you as
bunny mum.

little guy so much and beside myself not being able to get him in to see a
vet.
If I had the equipment, I’d file the molar Spurs myself..😢
Anyone else have any ideas?
