Hi,

my serial data cable just arrived, i bought an usb-serial adapter,
installed the driver for vista and connected to the nas using putty 0.6 ...

i was able to watch the boot process and telnet to the nas

after this first attempt i tried to connect via smb and got a network error -
i tried to open the web interface and got: "the requested url / was not found"
...
don't know what happened :-(

finally i had to reset the nas and format the drive...
i still have the "1.3.1.IB.1.beta.2" firmware with tinky-0.0.2

any hints ? Is it possible that connecting via the serial cable can damage the
partitions ?
anyway, has someone tried to install the new raidsonic firmware
"2.3.2.IB.2viaRS232" ?

is it possible to use tinky after upgrading ? i need the ssh login ....

Oliver
