If you want to make an audio CD to play in a regular CD player you need 1 disk for every 70 minutes or so. If you are playing it on a computer or a device that is able to read data CDs you can burn the files as MP3s and you could fit the whole book with room to spare on one disk. Voice recordings compress really nicely as there is limited audio frequency so they can sound good at low bit rates like 32 kb/s were music suffers at bit rates below 128 kb/s I compress my music at 192 kb/s since storage is pretty reasonably priced.
