Do they have to be mitochondrial? I know of some good nuclear rDNA
(highly multi-copy) primer sets that are very highly conserved and
should amplify from annelids and molluscs with no trouble.

I was wondering whether anybody knew of any good universal invertebrate mtDNA
primers. They do not have to be invertebrate-specific, but I need them to
amplify most inverts, including worm and slug, with an amplicon size of
100-300bp. I've tried various combinations of the Simon et al (1994) primers
(C1J2183, C1J2195, C2J3400, C2J3571, C1N2329, C1N2353, C2N3494, C2N3661) but
haven't found any which will amplify both worm and slug. Any suggestions
welcome.
