  You do not want to use the WinXP firewall.  Norton Internet
Security is what you have and what you want.  The first reason
is because the WinXP firewall doesn't work - it is easily 
compromised.  The second reason is problems such as you ran
into with file transfers.  The third reason is that you don't
want to have two firewalls running at the same time - the "fight"
each other (if you had read the install instructions for Norton
Internet Security carefully it tells you to turn off the WinXP
firewall and uninstall any other firewall products).
