it was about 4am when I was trying your 'trick' Linda, I figured I
wasn't doing something quite the way you meant...

I just wish excel would leave the column formats the way I set them,
having to reset them every time I open the sheet is most annoying...

I'm working on a 'solution', just as soon as I can get all the bugs out
of the spreadsheet it will be in access, I just don't know how to make
access SHOW me what it doesn't like about the spreadsheet when I try to
import it, it puts up error msg's that there is a problem, but doesn't
tell me where or what the problem is... I expected there would be a tool
/ method to see what the errors where so I'd know what to fix...
Thanks
-Jim-
