Dear all

Sorry my post was not clear, I have now managed to solve the problem but
will clarify the original request

Col 1 =3D dates ranging from january1 to dec 31=20
Col 2 =3D 1  next t0 date if  a person attended a meeting
Col2 =3D 1 if a meeting took place on that date

What I want to do was to calculate a percentage of meetings attended , a
complication being that not everyone started on kan 1st , some started
for example on march 1st , so to overcome this problem (i.e. did not
want to count any meeting January / February in the denominator) needed
to select a date range

My solution was
=3D(SUMIF($B5:$B32,"<=3D"&DATE(2007,12,31),Q5:Q32)-SUMIF($B5:$B32,"<"&DAT=
E(2
007,3,31),Q5:Q32))/(SUMIF($B5:$B32,"<=3D"&DATE(2007,12,31),D5:D32)-SUMIF(=
$
B5:$B32,"<"&DATE(2007,3,31),D5:D32))*100

Bit unwieldy but works,=20

If anyone has a neater solution would be interested

Ann

Ann

Please give a more precise indication of what's where. For instance,
you=20
say there's a column (singular) with dates, but then you talk about date
1=20
and date 2.

Give specific column and row ranges for each of the things you want to
check=20
and each of the things you want to sum or manipulate.

However, if you are talking about a range summation with more than one
test,=20
then SumProduct is perhaps the best way to go.

Regards, Dave S
