If Svend's suggestion for renaming normal.dot doesn't fix it, Erroll...it
could be a corrupt Data key in the registry...this is what controls a lot of
toolbar stuff in Word.

Hi All
One of the pupils has succeeded in doing away with ALL the toolbars in
Word (2000). It is not that Word has not been put in full-screen, but
there are no toolbars and (for me and a few of the other Word users
here) there doesn't seem to be a way of getting any toolbar back. The
bottom toolbar is there. The one that changes page layout.One can use
word with the layout that is there and when pressing on the "X"(closing
Word) saving the document can be operated. None of the other options are
visible or operative. Anybody know what to do?
I've done the obvious - F11, esc., restart, right click all over the
place - all to no avail.
