Nope...I already suggested that one, Kathy...but Beth said that didn't fix
it, so I'm clueless

To use Word's sample text feature, =rand(), you need to make sure the
AutoCorrect feature is turned on. Click Tools/AutoCorrect/AutoCorrect
and make sure the Replace text as you type option is checked.
